Identifying, mentoring, and training diverse leaders to create peer-led communities where it is “okay to not be okay” and where individuals can come together with others on similar journeys in order to build a sense of "chosen family" while remembering that there is hope and that they are not alone.
Peer services are bridging important gaps. Because access is critical, we create no-cost, approachable options to mental wellness. These spaces honor autonomy, are led by and for community members, and help prevent crisis and sustain wellness.
Changing the culture surrounding mental wellness by creating events that promote self-determination, put a spotlight on cultural and individual nuances in relation to mental health, normalize help-seeking, that de-stigmatize mental health, create community, and make space for education and learning.
Peer Support Space Inc. is a grassroots organization, led by and for those in recovery from mental health challenges, trauma, grief, substance use issues, or other obstacles to wellness. We use, and help others use, the power of lived experience to support, educate, and guide one another while providing additional, free options for mental wellness.
We are dedicated to improving the mental wellness of our community by filling gaps in our mental health system. Will you join us in making a difference?
